In your opinion, do most members of Congress deserve to be re-elected?

Yes (3%) – "Given the way our incentive structure increasingly rewards attention-seeking behavior and going viral on social media, I'm afraid things can get much worse in terms of our political representatives."

No (91%) – "Our nation was built on compromise. Politicians refusing to compromise creates a myriad of issues, including seesawing between policies based on the results of the latest election."

• "Let's remind all members of Congress that they are elected to perform basic constitutional functions. We haven't even had a budget passed for decades. Congress should be the third branch of government, not a rubber-stamp branch of the executive branch. The political games are destroying trust in our government."

"I don't know my district because they keep changing it. I think all members in congress over 65 should retire. If I'm in the district with the old guy, he should retire regardless of party, if my rep is younger, they shouldn't. Same for the Sanate. Get the old people who aren't connected to the world they created out. Let people who grew up in that world run things."

In any other circumstance if an employees performed in the manner that congress does, they would be immediately fired for incompetence. Term limits are needed to stop this dysfunction and move our country forward. I’ll be voting for anyone other than an incumbent in the next election."

• "The lack of integrity and honest representation of constituents is significantly lacking. I am a supporter of term limits for all political offices. If state and federal officials do not reach out to people from all sides during first term, they should not be allowed another term. These people work for us, not a political or economic power."
