What are your thoughts on the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis?

""Alex was doing nothing illegal, and his actions did not prompt being shot. ICE agents escalated, and he was killed. The even more concerning factor is government leadership immediately vilifying Alex and calling him a domestic terrorist, without any investigation and despite contradictory evidence. Then they block local government from investigating. Instead of looking to discover the truth, they are attempting to create the truth. I have never been more concerned for the future of this country."

  • "I’m sorry a life was lost. An easy way to avoid this situation is to just give law enforcement agents their space to do their jobs. Protest on the sideline, in front of a political office, but never interfere with their job. It’s against the law."

"This is a tragedy. There is enough blame to go around for all parties involved - ICE, Pretti, the local officials, the press, agitators in the community, etc. etc., and for the underlying factors that is created the stage for this incident - the left's promotion and facilitation of illegal immigrants, Trump's move to enforce the law, political corruption, atronomical fraud of government officials, people who do not want to uphold basic values like honesty, the incitement of emotions be the press, TDS, ETC.ETC. This is similar to the Kent State killings in 1970. I wish that our society would progress enough to be able to not repeat this kind of tragedy. No assignment of fault will erase or appease the hatred and fear that is at the root of this. The answers are available to us; there are centuries and millinea of wisdom that are available for us to know how to live. But the personal responsibility to follow that wisdom has to be accepted, comitted to and lived out to manifest the fruits of wisdom. This culture is driven by way too much self centeredness and pure selfishness and those are the values that we are seeing the fruit manifested from."

  • "I wasn’t there so I cannot judge. However reports that I have read suggest he had a handgun, 2 additional magazines, and no ID. Not justification for shooting him, certainly, but cause for suspicious motives. Again I was obviously not there and don’t know what all happened but reports of all kinds, including eyewitness, are likely biased to some if not great degree."

"This isn't just a violation of the first and second and fourth amendments. This is a clear violation of truth. The administration is very clearly lying to the American people. They're lying to us on something that is so plain to see with our own eyes when it would benefit them a lot more to just tell the truth. People are going to ask, if they lie about this, what else are they lying about. Rest in peace Alex Pretti. You were a good man who's last thoughts were to help others. I, and many others aspire to be a person as good as you."

  • "I spent 10 years working in a professional law enforcement agency. If any police officers acted like ICE agents, they would have been fired. The videos showed an abuse of power, a lack of discipline, and multiple violations of constitutional rights."

"US citizens are being shot in the street, thrown in detention centers, or terrorized in their cities. There has been no justification for the violence seen during these ICE occupations. There is no transparency from the administration. The administration doesn't even pretend to offer meaningless platitudes, like "There will be an investigation," or "We need more information." They jump right to victim-blaming and double down on their baseless talking points. They are creating endless problems and solving nothing. These "agents" are not vetted and poorly trained. Alex Pretti was dog-piled, disarmed, and shot while on the ground; what tactical process is that? "Agent" stood in front of Renee Good's car; who is ever trained to stand in front of the car of an unarmed American citizen after their tags have already been recorded? George Floyd, Breonna Tyler, countless others who were murdered by "law enforcement," and MAGA tries to excuse their deaths. It is nothing new. They let loose thugs in the streets and wait for the next catastrophe to distract us from the last. Release the Epstein files."

  • "First, these operations need to stop being characterized as “law enforcement” activities. That mischaracterization allows DHS to hide behind activity that is frankly meant to terrorize. The press and others need to stop giving what is going on a veneer of legitimacy. They are causing far more harm than good while ignoring the fact that being in country undocumented is a civil violation, not a criminal one and these terroristic tactics jeopardize all of our freedom."

"Alex Perretti was dressed and carried himself as a terrorist. His 9 mm had two extra fully loaded magazines is Gun was capable of being drawn and firing. He did not carry any identification on him. The fact that he was a permit holder to carry the gun he did not have his permit with him. He had all the Ear marks of a terrorist of a shooter and the fact that he was disobeying lawful orders, put him in his category, although his shooting is very sad that the events at the time appear that he brought that on himself."

  • "I pose a question about both shootings. I don’t understand why the agents don’t use a taser or rubber bullets if they’re threatened by a protestor? That would stop the protestors actions without it being lethal."
