| | Good evening. The world's largest dam is officially under construction in China, on a section of the Yarlung Zangbo River in Tibet, Premier Li Qiang said over the weekend. Once completed, the dam is projected to generate 300 billion kWh of electricity every year. That’s: - Equivalent to all of Britain’s power consumption in 2024.
- More than Poland’s entire power-production capacity.
- Nearly triple the output of the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s current largest dam.
Dam, that’s big. Did someone forward you this email? Subscribe to The DONUT’s AM/PM updates here. |
