Each of the following events happened on October 23. Your challenge is to put them in the order in which they occurred by year, earliest to latest. Answers at the bottom!

  • A) Apple releases the iPod. With a 5GB hard drive, it’s capable of storing a mind-blowing 1,000 songs, and integrates with iTunes for legal song downloads.
  • B) Disney releases Dumbo, a film about a circus elephant with huge ears who can fly. At 64 minutes, the movie is one of the studio's shortest animated features ever, and goes on to critical and financial success.
  • C) A women's suffrage march led by Carrie Chapman Catt and Anna Howard Shaw takes place on 5th Avenue in New York City. The march for equal voting rights was attended by 25,000+ women.
  • D) Toronto Blue Jay RF Joe Carter wins the World Series for his team by whacking a 9th-inning home run over the SkyDome’s left-field wall. It’s the first time in baseball history that a come-from-behind home run has won the World Series.
