• C) Robertson Aircraft, one of the companies that later developed into American Airlines, flies its first mail route. Aviator Charles Lindbergh is the pilot for this maiden voyage, flying from Chicago to St. Louis, Missouri.
• D) Two bombs go off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three spectators and wounding 260+ other people in attendance. Four days later, after an intense manhunt that shut down the Boston area, police would capture one of the bombing suspects, while another suspect died following a shootout with law enforcement.
