His ascendance ends ~2,300 years of rule by foreigners, dating back to Alexander the Great.
• D) Tim Burton’s Batman is released in theaters. Starring Michael Keaton as the titular superhero and Jack Nicholson as The Joker, the film would earn ~$100 million in its first ten days of release.
