Those are a few names – voted on annually by citizens – from the Minnesota government’s Class of 2023 Snowplows. And they’ve been hard at work these past few days, after the state (along with the rest of the upper MidWest) was hit with a storm system on Sunday and Monday that dropped up to 8 inches of snow in some areas.

• Outside of the MidWest, the major storm system has already drenched the West Coast and spawned tornadoes in the South.
• It’s projected to hit major cities in the Northeast starting this morning.
