• Yesterday afternoon, for the first time in history, a private company successfully landed a spacecraft on the Moon. The unmanned robotic lunar lander, made by US-based firm Intuitive Machines, marks the first American craft to land on the Moon since the Apollo 16 mission in 1972. Intuitive Machines’ craft, called Odysseus, was carrying a payload of six NASA instruments, a part for a future Moon telescope, and a sculpture by American artist Jeff Koons.
