Waymo robotaxis made up ~20% of all Uber rides in Austin during the last week of March, after they first became available across the city earlier that month, per data from market analytics firm YipitData.

Overall, Alphabet-owned Waymo has racked up 80% more driverless rides in Austin over its first 27 days of service compared to the company’s San Francisco launch, which didn’t involve Uber.

Looking ahead…Waymo is bringing its robotaxis to Atlanta starting this summer, where rides will be offered exclusively through the Uber app similar to Austin.
