How do you feel about VP Harris’ selection of Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate?

👍 Love it (41%) – "Walz is a sharp, likable speaker with a great track record in his home state. He’s plain spoken and down to earth, and also just strengthens the appeal the Harris campaign is building among voters who had begun to feel disaffected with the party."

• "I love it because I’m a conservative and don’t want Harris to win. She just selected a radical progressive lefty they’re trying to tout as a good ol’ midwestern dad. He’s anything but. I also know that Minnesota residents are excited about this pick because it’s their chance to get rid of him."

"He has solid values and is able to work across parties to get things accomplished. It is just what we need right now."

• "I have been reading up on his career, and I am happy that he is a solid VP pick. He listens, and isn't afraid to change his mind/views after consulting with others. A big heart and truly sees being in politics as a pathway to helping everyone achieve."

📈 Like it/Somewhat like it (19%) – "With her selection of Waltz, we now have a real choice between the two Presidential candidates. The differences are clear and evident allowing the American people a true contrast in ideas and future possibilities. We’ll see how the majority of Americans feel about the where the country should be headed and it will be interesting to see the results in November."

• "I don’t know much about him yet but from what I can see, I really like him and what he has done. I worry he won’t be able to pull in the center right in the same way some of the other short-listers might have, but he is also more aligned with me politically. I’m excited to see where it goes. The party feels energized and exciting for the first time."

↔️ Neutral (14%) – "Harris' selection of a running mate doesn't sway my vote at all - she still won't be getting it. I vote in a Midwest swing state and I'm sincerely hoping this doesn't have the effect Harris thinks it will because we need to focus on the more important issues that impact everyone, like economic growth and stability."

• "No impact. Kamala could have picked a better running mate but her choice reflects the Democratic Party’s leanings, collectively a bad direction for our country and the world community. I predict more economic suffering and global warfare if these two are elected."

📉 Dislike it/Somewhat dislike it (11%) – "He pushed a progressive agenda including reproductive rights. Abortion crosses the line for me, and I could not support him. I respect him as a veteran and teacher, however."

• "I was hoping Harris would pick someone more moderate than herself to attract individuals who considered themselves more towards the center, like disaffected Republicans. This choice does not seem like it will help with that."

👎 Hate it (15%) – "He's much too far left for me. I was hoping for a moderate. As an independent, I'd vote for either side if I thought they'd be somewhere in the middle. Both options this year are too extreme for me, but this choice will swing me to the right for this election cycle."

• "The ticket is a no vote simply because, when you look at both of their histories, it increases spending of money we don't have and fails to support what our nation was founded on -- freedom for all regardless of their political leaning. Walz has destroyed Minnesota with the socialist programs and philosophies. He is by far a leftist. I really needed to see someone right of center to balance Kamala's far left of center stance."
