In general, do you support or oppose President Trump’s budget proposal for the 2026 fiscal year?

Support (37%) – "Via DOGE, Trumps admin has found a plethora of fraud and abuse in the very programs the Democrats are fighting to support. Wonder why that is? Year after year the Gov't has proven to be fiscally irresponsible. It's time to put money into the programs that support America's values, security, and all around concept of Making America Great Again. Cut out the waste and works towards prosperity within America."

  • "Without getting super granular I'll never know what exactly I agree or disagree with, but in general I like the proposals. Also, there's nothing wrong with going back to 2017 levels of spending in a world where our government is constantly spending money it doesn't have. It's not Lynne we're going back to levels from fifty years ago, and something needs to change."

"Because it has to start somewhere. It takes time to do everything so its not a quick fix. The Democrats say we are taking away money from families that need it. we need a better system to prove that we need it. Cutting the illegals money trail will help. The Democrats were definitely not thinking of the Americans while they orchestrated that. We also have a rogue military that has been getting millions. One example are the Chemtrails. Do not insult anyone saying that's a conspiracy theory. It's not. We know what Bill Gates story is and the control he has needs to go away. There is enough proof that they are destroying our land and water supply. We want our land, our earth and our people to survive and not be ruled over by the elites, the 15 minute cites and any nwo. This is America, It is about time both sides fight for the real issues for all of our futures."

Oppose (47%) – "This budget is- mirroring the misguided priorities of this administration. Massive cuts and/or elimination of programs directly affecting the health of American citizens - such as elimination of entire divisions of NIH, CDC, and others - are extremely short-sighted and downright dangerous, as we have seen with the deaths resulting from a lack of measles vaccinations. Elimination of funding for public radio and TV will drastically reduce, or even eliminate, the only source of news in many rural areas, which are often in bright-red areas, so it's not about being "woke" or any other such nonsense. And the list goes on and one."

  • "We do not need to be spending more on the military. Science research and climate solutions should be a priority. If we don’t look after the world it won’t matter how much money is poured into the military budget."

"If all of these cuts were to go through, not only would a lot of people be out of a job, but it will take decades to build our science/research back up to current levels. We'll far very far behind in innovation and our scientific leadership compared to the rest of the world."

  • "Cutting aid to other countries is killing people unnecessarily. Less fortunate and under developed nations who don’t have the ability or infrastructure to help their people. Also my husband works in scientific research and may be out of a job this fall due to the cuts to NSF and NIH. His research is important in creating more efficient and sustainable battery options. Which can impact the world in a positive way with electric vehicles and decrease our reliance on fossil fuels."

Unsure/other (16%) – "It seems clear that Trump is not trying to help to lower the budget. He is just spending on what he deems necessary in the guise of budget cutting. Spending less on Science and the EPA but then more on Charter and the Military is just his view for what is important for our country. It is no different than any other President, besides the fact that he is willing to hurt working families by cutting important programs that help a majority of Americans."
