Do you support or oppose the Trump admin’s new nuclear agreement with Saudi Arabia?

Support (24%) – "Control of nuclear enrichment by a central organization is better that uncontrolled enrichment by any country that is nuclear. Just look at Iran."

Oppose (54%) – "I would have been fine with it if it didn’t condition Saudi Arabia joining the Kushner Abraham Accords, and if they followed the normal path outside of US oversight."

• "Without International inspection and enforcement there is no guarantee that the Saudis will adhere to the agreement. Trump has proven he is totally unethical if he can personally profit, so a proper, hidden bribe from the Saudis would erase any hope of US enforcement. International inspectors and possible sanctions are the only way. And WHY does Saudi Arabia need this, given their oil wealth? It’s not like the country needs a new revenue source."

Can you say, "nuclear proliferation"? If I had to imagine any place in the world where you wouldn't want enriched uranium, it is definitely the Middle East. With Trump throwing in the after the fact condition on Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords, the Saudi's may decline and turn to another nuclear power for its needs, wants, goals, whatever. It is easy to see why the Saudis would want this capability, when surrounded by somewhat unstable governments. The Middle East has, for thousands of years, been driven by tribal and ideological factions. This region has never found true peace in the past, nor does it look like peace will be birthed in the near future. It is fine to make a deal. It is not fine to make a bad deal."

• "If the deal is approved the UN should be the monitoring agency not the US. Which cronies, family, and GOP politicians own the companies that will be provided the materials, tech, etc? Conflict of interest. I believe that they are playing 47 just like other nations/leaders are doing - Bibi, Vlad, etc."

"The current war in the middle east is supposedly rooted in PREVENTING nuclear proliferation. The deal with Saudi Arabia is focused on ENRICHING uranium, which is an essential step for manufacturing nuclear weapons. Our diplomatic efforts in the region are not merely conflicting, they are EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of one another. The US cannot bomb one country for enriching uranium while simultaneously selling uranium enrichment capacity to it's neighbor. This is beyond inconsistent policy - it is insane."

Unsure/other (22%) – "Unsure of the nuclear program deal but it is almost exactly what Biden proposed. I am more in agreement though with Saudi Arabia wanting Israel to forge ahead on a path to creating a Palestinian state ,as part of agreeing to sign the Abraham Accords. It is long overdue."
