👍 Yes (46%) – "The state already has my drivers license, while the Federal government has my passport and global entry photos, so if their using what they already have saves me time at check in, that is a benefit for me."
"People use facial ID on their phones everyday so if the concern is the tech not being accurate then they need to work with a tech company that can give them more accurate results. Tech is the wave of the future and anything that can make lines move smoother and faster through TSA to me is a good thing. People should have the option to opt out if they want but with AI tech, facial ID is going to happen. It’s just a matter of time."
👎 No (35%) – "Can you trust the government for anything? I fail to see how this would possibly be a benefit in the hands of such a destructive force as a republican/democrat controlled government."
"The problem with facial recognition is not the technology, but the retention of images and the abuse of the technology that is easy to predict. Entrance to events has been using it to prohibit event goers based on political association or employment. That has been in the courts and determined to be a violation of a person's rights. How can this not lead to that?"
🤷 Unsure/other (19%) – "If people are comfortable with doing it that way then I say go for it, but for me I’d like a way to opt out and be able to have my ID checked the traditional way."
