What are your thoughts on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East?

"Definitively, why did we go to war? What evidence can be provided that harm to the US was so imminent that we had to strike when we did? Why didn’t congress be allowed to debate this before congress declared war? Did the president cross a line in doing this because it’s not constitutional? We keep getting conflicting messages from the president and cabinet members. The president needs to address the American people and explain everything, thereby going on record. 6 servicemen are killed. This is serious! We deserve answers."

  • "The evil that has powered Iran for decades needs to be destroyed for the good of the world and mankind as a whole. Freedom to chose and change is the only answer to despot entrenched societies like the one infecting Iran; not nation building but the ability to have the choices the normal Iranian people make themselves, rather than the despots who took advantage of them and spread their pestilence around the world... it's the despots destruction and their tools that's needed for our self defense and to effect the freedom of normal Iranians."

"I mourn all of the lives lost. I dread learning about more life-altering harm. I am suspicious about the reasoning for beginning the attacks in the first place, because I don't think anything mentioned is the real reason. And I'm frustrated that one of the goals is to eliminate a "terror infrastructure." Ideologies cannot be eliminated. Violence enhances those ideologies. I wish more people would understand that."

  • "This has been brewing (and was basically even encouraged by past US presidents!) for some time. I am thankful for a president who will not allow the atrocities of Iran to continue unchallenged."

"I feel that a regime change is not necessary and there are plenty of problems in the U.S. Iran is a very dangerous country do not get me wrong, but there was no reason for the attacks. Another theocratic leader will step in place and nothing will change for the citizens. All this does is increase the tension in Iran and spark hatred in Iranian nationalists."

  • "I'm not wild about war, but when I see countries around the world where basic human rights are regularly violated, I wonder why other countries allow such things to happen. How do we turn a blind eye to countries where women are forbidden to go to school or work, and where it's ok to beat or kill them? I know people say the US shouldn't interfere, but we are the predominant force in the world. If we don't help these people, who will?"
