Republicans (26%) – "Republicans are open and you can talk to them...with the exception of a few that are sheep in wolves clothing it beats having to argue, fight, be thwarted by Dems."
"Both parties are corrupt but I believe more members are honest, honorable and trying to serve the country on the Republican side. Nearly all on the Democrat side seem infatuated with themselves and social programs/cultures that aren't fact based in any sense except for wasted money buying votes from the 'fringe' and oddities like 'open borders'. Funny that Democrats love 'open borders' but never seem to want those same people in their homes or ungated communities. ???"
Democrats (62%) – "The Democrats, in general, are the lesser evil. I would really like to see a strong independent person running for office. With the cost of campaigning that seems highly unlikely."
"Republicans in Congress have shown time and time again that they are only there to do the bidding of the current resident of the White House. They have stripped the budget of funding for programs that help the people they are supposed to be working for, and voted for enriching their campaign donors and themselves and the billionaire class. They have controlled both houses of Congress since January 20 and have not held the current resident of the White House responsible in any way for the many laws he has broken, for spending money that belongs to the people on his vanity projects, and for starting a war of choice. Meanwhile, Democrats have at least managed to make the Republicans show their hands by their votes for unpopular bills. I’m so ready for this regime to end and get some sanity back in our government."
"As an Independent, I would love to say I would endorse rank choice voting. At this time, I would probably vote for a Democrat. They seem to offer more common-sense policy than Republicans. It seems like the vast majority of Republicans run on the same recurring issues, elections are stolen and they have Trumps endorsement. For years I was a registered Democrat, but I can honestly say I voted for more Republican candidates than Democrat. Voting across the aisle wasn't a deal breaker for me if a candidate reflected my views and values. George Will opined about ten years that Donald Trump has destroyed the Republican party. I fully agree. The Republican party as it has historically been, no longer exist. Don't take my word for it, do your own research. Take a look at the Republican convention plank from 1960, for example, and compare it to today."
Third party (8%) – "Because both republicans and democrats are so extreme and won't agree to compromises that benefit ordinary citizens."
Unsure/other (4%) – "Most likely it would be republican, but I detest identity politics and want to make every choice based on the individual policies & person, not a red/blue campaign."
